Medgene Labs seeks a Process Development and Improvement Associate Scientist who will drive development and improvement studies for recombinant protein manufacture. Experience with protein production, cell culture techniques, and fermentation is preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in Biochemistry, Microbiology, or an Associate with relevant experience.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship expected.
• Experience with fermentation and/or cell culture, chromatography, or other downstream processing preferred but not required.
• Operation of basic laboratory equipment.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures.
• Aseptic techniques and good laboratory practices.
• Good documentation practices.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand SOPs and protocols.
• Maintain records detailing adherence to policies and SOPs.
• Follow study protocols under supervision.
• Execute experiments in small-scale bioreactors and fermenters to optimize expression and product quality.
• Maintain lab notebooks and batch records with detail and accuracy.
• Maintain aseptic technique and laboratory cleanliness.
• Assist with production activities and technology transfers.
