Job summary

Amgen in Thousand Oaks, California, is seeking a Process Development Associate Scientist to advance our diverse early-stage portfolio. You will contribute to formulation development and stability characterization of large molecule drug candidates, and provide scientific and technical expertise to advance the pre-pivotal portfolio.

The role requires hands-on experience in stability studies, multi-modality protein formulations, and analytical methods (HPLC/UPLC, mass spectrometry).

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Strong background in pharmaceutical/biotechnology sciences and stability of proteins.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and document stability studies for FIH formulation development and fill/finish processes.
• Design and execute in-use compatibility studies for clinical dose preparation.
• Conduct stability studies on liquid and lyophilized formulations; understand ultrafiltration/ diafiltration and buffer exchange.
