Job summary

Mohawk Industries, Inc. is seeking a Process Development & Innovation Engineer in Dalton, GA to develop, optimize, and implement advanced manufacturing processes for flooring products.

You will profile and mill technologies, combining hands-on testing with data-driven validation to improve product performance, quality, and cost competitiveness. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related technical field.
• 3-7 years of manufacturing, process engineering, product development, or industrial process experience.
• Experience with machining, milling, profiling, wood-based products, composites, SPC, laminate, LVT, or related technologies.
• Experience conducting industrial trials and process development projects preferred.
• Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical expert for milling and profiling operations.
• Develop and optimize machining, beveling, profiling, and finishing processes.
• Evaluate and implement new manufacturing technologies and tooling concepts.
• Lead industrial trials and plant-scale validation of new concepts.
• Partner with Product Development teams to commercialize ideas into processes.
• Develop features and techniques that improve product value and manufacturability.
• Design and execute laboratory and plant trials to validate concepts.
• Research emerging flooring technologies to create competitive advantages.
