Job summary

Teledyne FLIR in Goleta, CA seeks a Manufacturing and Process Engineer to support the Cooler Integration Team. You will develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing processes, cost estimates, and tooling needs while collaborating with design engineering on new products.

This role involves 5M process ownership, MRB participation, and continuous improvement in a clean room environment. The position requires 1–2 years in mechanical/electro-mechanical work, a technical degree, and ability to learn

Qualifications

• 1–2 years mechanical or electro-mechanical experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related technical discipline.
• Engineering background with ability to learn cryocooler fabrication and integration quickly.
• Use AI to solve problems or move projects forward.
• Proficient with basic measurement equipment and English communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop processes and work instructions; own the process via 5M.
• Evaluate materials and production defects; implement corrective actions with Quality Engineering.
• Contribute to MRB processes and disposition of out-of-flow material.
• Execute MES/ERP transactions and train operators on new processes.
• Support ISO certification and export control compliance.
• Collaborate with Tooling and Design Engineering on improvements.
• Drive continuous improvement for yield, output and cost.
