Job summary

Teledyne is seeking a Manufacturing and Process Engineer to support the Cooler Integration Team in Goleta, CA. You will develop and own processes, work instructions, and documentation, collaborating with design engineering to release new products while driving cost reductions and yield improvements.

The role requires 1–2 years of mechanical or electro-mechanical experience, a technical degree, and ability to use inspection tools. Cleanroom experience and AI problem solving are valued.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of mechanical or electro-mechanical experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related technical discipline.
• Engineering background and ability to learn cryocooler fabrication and integration.
• Must be able to use microscopes, calipers and micrometers and other electrical measurement equipment.
• Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Perform process development and generate work instructions.
• Own the process via 5M methodology.
• Evaluate product material & production defects and implement corrective actions with Quality Engineering.
• Train operators in new processes and verify adherence.
• Support ISO certification and export control requirements.
• Interact with Tool Design and Design Engineering on concurrent engineering.
