Job summary

Renesas is seeking a Process Development Engineer in Palm Bay to drive the development and optimization of manufacturing processes for high-quality semiconductor devices. You will work with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and continuously improve processes aligned with strategic goals and customer expectations.

You will operate and maintain test equipment, manage wafer inventory, and perform advanced measurements, including transient tests and bond diagrams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Technology or equivalent.
• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in analog circuits and semiconductor device characterization.
• Experience in semiconductor layout using Cadence Virtuoso or LEdit, or willing to learn.
• Familiarity with Unix systems and a broad range of electronic lab equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain test equipment including probers and analyzers.
• Handle wafer inventory and manage test boards and bond diagrams.
• Perform measurements on package parts and conduct transient measurements (Gate charge, Reverse recovery).
• Design and order test boards and support automation/instrument control.

We are seeking a talented and innovative Process Development Engineer to join our dynamic team in Palm Bay, United States. Job Description

Operate and Maintain Test Equipment:

Utilize HP4062/4073 testers with EG2080, EG4090, and TEL Precio XL probers, leveraging custom RMB code.

Work with HP8753 and Cascade full-temperature probers using HP IC-CAP software.

Manage Agilent B1500 with a manual probe station.

Utilize miscellaneous test equipment, including HP4145, oscilloscopes, curve tracers, and pulse generators.

Inventory Management:

Handle wafer inventory from previous silicon wafers.

Measurement Tasks:

Perform measurements on package parts.

Conduct transient manual measurements, such as Gate charge and Reverse recovery.

Generate Bond Diagrams for packages.

Design and order test boards.

Qualifications

Educational Background:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Technology or equivalent.

Experience:

A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in analog circuits and semiconductor device characterization.

Layout Skills:

Experience in semiconductor layout using tools like Cadence Virtuoso, LEdit, or a willingness to learn.

Technical Proficiency:

Familiarity with Unix systems.

Proficiency in using various electronic lab equipment, including but not limited to:

Automated probers

Semiconductor parameter analyzers (SPA)

Source measure units (SMU)

S-parameter systems

Curve Tracers

Pulse Generators

Power Supplies

Hands-On Experience:

Demonstrated experience in breadboarding and building experimental circuits.

Programming Abilities:

Software programming experience, particularly in instrument control and automation.

Bonus Skills:

Knowledge of RMB (HP Basic) is a significant plus.
