Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics in San Diego seeks an Associate Scientist, Process Development Analytics, to perform analytical testing in support of off-the-shelf NK cell therapies. You will collaborate with Analytical and Process Development teams to transfer and conduct characterization testing.

Requirements: BS with 8+ years or MS with 5+ years of relevant laboratory experience; hands-on experience with flow cytometry, plate readers, and automated cell counters; GMP/GxP exposure preferred; experience

Qualifications

• BS with 8+ years or MS with 5+ years relevant laboratory experience.
• Hands-on experience with flow cytometry, plate readers, and automated cell counters (equipment/software).
• GxP analytical testing exposure preferred.
• Experience in cell therapy, immunology, or oncology strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine in-vitro testing to support Process Development experiments and improve process/product understanding.
• Analyze/interprete results, trend data, and maintain detailed records.
• Provide data for technical reports, standard operating procedures, and regulatory submissions.
• Manage assay transfer from internal groups to Process Development as needed.
• Identify assay/process issues, investigate root cause, and drive troubleshooting to resolution.
• Coordinate activities across functional teams to support process development and product characterization.
• Train Process Development personnel on analytical testing procedures as needed.
