Job summary
Just-Evotec in Seattle, WA, is seeking an Associate Scientist to join the Purification Process Design team. You will develop and optimize purification processes for biotherapeutics, work with high-throughput robotic screening, and contribute to a first-of-its-kind flexible manufacturing facility.
The role emphasizes hands-on experimentation, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to drive low-cost biotherapeutic manufacture.
Qualifications
- BS/BA in Engineering, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or related field.
- 0–2 years of relevant laboratory experience.
- Strong experimental design and data analysis skills; JMP or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Develop purification processes for biotherapeutics and seek improvements.
- Record lab work in electronic notebooks and batch records.
- Prepare purification buffers, assemble chromatography hardware.
- Operate AKTA Avant & Pure systems with Unicorn software and automated data collection.
- Analyze data from chromatography and filtration; present findings clearly.
- Support transfer of processes to manufacturing facilities.
- Develop technology to expand platform capabilities and reduce costs.
- Share findings in team settings and presentations.
