Job summary

Just‑Evotec Biologics in Seattle, WA seeks an Associate Scientist for Purification Process Design. You will develop downstream purification strategies for biotherapeutics, operate AKTA/Unicorn systems, and document results for transfer to manufacturing.

The role emphasizes hands-on lab work, collaboration, and innovation in a fast-paced team focused on cost-effective biologics. BS/BA required; 0–2 years preferred.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Engineering, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or related field.
• 0–2 years of relevant laboratory experience.
• Experience with experimental design and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop purification processes for biotherapeutics and seek improvements.
• Record lab work in electronic lab notebooks and batch records.
• Prepare buffers and assemble chromatography hardware.
• Operate AKTA Avant/Unicorn and associated systems.
• Analyze results and present data clearly.
• Support transfer to manufacturing facilities.
• Contribute to technology development to reduce cost.
• Share findings in team settings and presentations.
