Job description

APM Terminals plays an important role in enabling the global Maersk Ocean and Logistics network, serving Shipping Lines, Beneficial Cargo Owners, Freight Forwarders, intermodal logistics providers, and integrating with local port authorities, customs, and government bodies across our transshipment, import, and export gateway terminals.

This position provides legal support to APM West Med Terminals, including three critical container terminals in Tangier and Algeciras, acting as a key business partner to the West Med management on all legal matters.

Key responsibilities:

1. Serve as an expert and role model for standardization and lean working methodologies.
2. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop an organization and system supporting PDM rollout and integration.
3. Ensure all standardization activities are executed with quality and within deadlines.
4. Assess GAPS in terminal standardization and adjust plans accordingly.
5. Identify GAPS proactively and find solutions to address them.
6. Manage transformation and change related to process design and management.
7. Coach and develop local capabilities to support and accelerate PDM and WOW maturity on site.
8. Ensure methodology adherence and follow-up on implementation effectiveness.
9. Align project PDM teams with local teams.
10. Integrate standardization (PDM) into the WOW of the terminal.
11. Coordinate PDM activities with the terminal WOW & standardization team.
12. Provide first-line support related to daily PDM activities.

We are looking for:

1. Strong skills in Lean, Lean Six Sigma, and/or Project Management certification.
2. At least 3 years of experience in Transformation & Lean, familiar with operating systems, standardization, policy deployment, Lean methodologies, and facilitation of kaizens.
3. Thorough understanding of container terminal operations.
4. Minimum lean practitioner level 3.
5. Ability to implement new processes and support organizational change.
6. Excellent workshop facilitation skills.
7. Strong problem-solving mindset.
8. Effective communication skills.
9. Teamwork and collaboration abilities.
10. Training in Job Instructions & Job Relations.
