Job summary

The Kinetic Group is seeking a Process Design Engineer to design, develop, implement, and continuously improve manufacturing processes and equipment at our Anoka, MN facility. You will collaborate with Product Development, Manufacturing, Quality, Maintenance, and Operations to improve safety, quality, throughput, and cost performance.

You will initiate process changes, analyze operational data, and lead projects while communicating findings to management and shop personnel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving.
• Excellent organizational, communication, project management and teamwork skills.
• Hands-on machining and manufacturing equipment experience.
• Familiarity with lean principles and manufacturing operations.
• SolidWorks or CAD proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Initiate process changes and improvements, maintain process records and drawings.
• Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues.
• Identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Analyze production costs, process flow, and schedules to optimize utilization.
• Recommend methods to improve worker efficiency and reduce waste.
• Lead engineering projects including cost improvements and capital projects.
• Write technical reports and present them to management.
• Provide guidance to manufacturing and shop personnel.
• Assist in training production personnel in work instructions.
• Understand product specifications and test data impact on manufacturing.
