Job summary

MissionHires is seeking a Process Engineer to design fluid and heat transfer systems for molecular filtration at Food and Dairy facilities. The role involves project management, P&ID/PFD development, and collaboration with designers to ensure robust, compliant equipment.

Occasional travel to customer sites is required. You will size pumps, valves, heat exchangers, and piping, while mentoring teammates and coordinating with sales for technical reviews.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication with internal personnel and external customers.
• Strong computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and AutoCAD 2D.
• Ability to maintain composure under pressure and meet deadlines in a team setting.
• Self-managing, takes ownership of projects and responsibilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Process/Chemical/Mechanical) or equivalent.
• Five (5) or more years of experience in fluid or thermal system/equipment design.

Responsibilities

• Lead as Project Manager/Process Engineer, including customer meetings and site visits.
• Create P&ID and PFD for projects.
• Direct design validation of skids, tanks, and process equipment.
• Perform fluid dynamics and heat transfer calculations for sizing components.
• Specify and requisition pumps, valves, heat exchangers, etc.
• Ensure contractual scope and requirements are met in design.
• Coordinate with team and customers to address technical or fiscal issues.
• Support control panel design and PLC programming with Automation Department.
• Assist sales in drawings approvals and technical evaluations.
• Provide on-site startup, commissioning, and training support.
