JOB SUMMARY

As a Process Engineer, you will work on designing and developing our AirSCWO systems. This requires understanding 374Water’s AirSCWO process and contributing to its continuous improvement. You will collaborate with the fabrication team, equipment suppliers, and system end-users. The ideal candidate will have experience in an industrial startup environment, enjoy detailed equipment and system design, and possess a solid foundation in chemical engineering and industry-standard equipment.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Develop technical specifications for process equipment such as heat exchangers, valves, pumps, and separation vessels.
• Create models to support process design, including heat and mass balance, thermal, and CFD analyses.
• Participate in technology development projects, including testing new equipment and designing custom subsystems.
• Perform value engineering to reduce costs and footprint.
• Revise P&IDs, conduct design reviews, and participate in HAZOP studies.
• Create technical documentation.

WHO YOU ARE

Basic qualifications:

• BSc or MSc in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience in the water/wastewater or chemical process industry.
• Experience with pumps, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, valves, and hydraulics.
• Proficiency with process simulation tools like Aspen Plus, ChemCAD, or DWSIM.
• Experience with high-pressure/high-temperature processes is a plus.
• Authorized to work in the United States; no sponsorship available.
