Job summary

KGHM International Ltd. is seeking a Process Department Trainer for Robinson Mine in Ruth, Nevada.

You will develop and deliver safety, compliance, and technical training for operations and maintenance, using classroom and hands-on methods to ensure regulatory and internal standard adherence.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of directly related work experience leading teams or facilitating training in a relevant field.
• Proven computer literacy including MS Office and Windows.
• Demonstrated behaviors aligned with technical training values and company policies.
• Ability to understand and apply verbal and written safety-related instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates on-the-job performance using predefined assessments to confirm safe and effective skill application, contributing to a collaborative and capable workforce.
• Deliver hands-on training and simulations, proctor standardized assessments, and collaborate with supervisors to address skill gaps and elevate concerns when needed.
• Facilitate interactive classroom and computer-based training sessions using activities and discussions to improve retention.
• Maintain accurate records.
• Participate in train-the-trainer programs and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
• Provide input for developing competency-based learning materials and mentor to support team and organizational goals.
• Follow safe work procedures and best practices.
• Willingness to perform other duties as necessary to ensure the success of KGHM.
• Must be willing to work overtime.

Purpose & Scope of The Position:

This role focuses on developing employees' skills in safety, compliance, and operational and maintenance tasks through technical training that combines standardized materials with personal expertise. Training is delivered both in classrooms and hands-on through simulation and field settings, ensuring engagement and adherence to regulatory and internal standards.

Required Education, Work Experience & Training:

• A valid Driver’s License.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Five (5) years of directly related work experience leading teams or facilitating training in a relevant field.
• Proven computer literacy including MS Office and Windows.

• Assist and/or instruct MSHA training for newly employed miners and annual refresher training which requires acquiring a MSHA blue card.
• Proven evaluation of safe work procedures and ensuring compliance with MSHA.
• Other tasks as required.

Preferred Education, Work Experience & Training:

• Technical competence equivalent to a Process experienced operator or maintenance technician
• Experience in adult education or corporate training preferred
• Experience in mining, manufacturing, or industrial environments preferred
• Familiarity with MSHA safety standards preferred
• Prior exposure to a Learning Management System (LMS) preferred
• Experience mentoring or coaching in field environments preferred
• Familiarity with competency-based training models preferred
• MSHA Blue Card Certified preferred
• Sync Mine Literacy preferred

Travel Requirements:

• Must be willing to travel for training purposes

Additional Requirements:

• Successful completion of a pre-employment physical, including drug and alcohol testing.
• Ability to meet the required physical demands, including exerting 20-50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10-25 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 pounds of force constantly.
