Job summary

Southwire Company, LLC invites motivated students to join its College Programs as interns or co-ops in a fast-paced manufacturing setting in Georgia. Projects align with engineering studies, with mentorship and progress presentations in a senior leadership expo.

Interns typically work 10–12 weeks, co-ops 16–18 weeks, and may be considered for full-time employment after graduation. Summer rotation start is required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics.
• Basic understanding of industrial automation or control systems.
• Familiarity with MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing, testing, and implementing process control system enhancements.
• Support data collection and analysis to improve efficiency and quality.
• Help organize data for real-time monitoring and reporting.
• Document projects with schematics and procedures using AutoCAD and MS Office.
• Collaborate with engineering and IT teams to troubleshoot issues.
• Learn Siemens TIA Portal, Step7, and Rockwell RSLogix 5000 environments.
• Support safety standards and regulatory compliance.
• Attend cross-functional meetings to foster collaboration.
