Job summary
Indorama Ventures is seeking a Process Control Engineer in Lake Charles, LA to support unit operations by maintaining and enhancing process control applications and assets. You will develop control strategies, monitor units for production and energy goals, and provide technical support for PLCs, automation systems, and safety instrumented systems.
The role requires a B.S. in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering and at least 5 years of relevant experience in a petrochemical or refining
Qualifications
- B.S. Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field.
- Minimum of 5 years of process/process controls/operations engineering experience in a petrochemical or refining facility.
- Experience with DCS systems such as Foxboro IA (Invensys) or Emerson DeltaV preferred.
- Experience with PLCs (Triconex or GE Fanuc / Mark V, VII preferred).
- Proficiency with SAP, Internet, Email and Microsoft Office programs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement control strategies for new projects or products.
- Monitor unit operation to meet production, quality and energy targets.
- Support design, installation and maintenance of PLCs, automation systems and SIFs.
- Lead MOC, PHA and incident investigations for assigned units.
- Train operators on control strategies and changes.
