Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Science.
  • Two years of experience as a Process Controls/Automation Engineer.
  • Experience with manufacturing processes and lean manufacturing.
  • Familiar with robots, press, vision equipment, PLC and HMI integration.

Job Description

DUTIES: Collaborate with the IT team to prioritize and document activities for on-floor process equipment. Coordinate with controls staff engineers and other SMEs for execution resource planning, training and development efforts. Provide technical input and guidance to vendors, system suppliers needing interface and support validation efforts. Lead necessary hardware and software updates needed for architecture and applications. Up to 25% domestic travel required. Hybrid Work Policy - 3 days In-office, 2 days remote - Must be able to report to local office.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study and Two (2) years of experience as a Process Controls Engineer, Automation Engineer, or related occupation. Two (2) years of experience with: Manufacturing processes, lean manufacturing, both high automation and manual processes; Robots, Press, and vision equipment, PLC, HMI integration and commissioning; Safety Validation of controls systems; Plant floor systems including Production Monitoring and Control, Andon Systems, Upload/Download and Compare, Throughput and Material Call; Error proofing SCADA systems; and Common Controls Hardware and Common Controls Software Standards.
