Job summary

VAA LLC, based in Minnesota, is hiring Process Controls/Electrical Technicians to join our Origination, Processing and Manufacturing teams. You will help engineers produce quality drawings from concept through construction, set up plans, sections and details, and fix redlines while expanding your technical skills.

Qualifications include a construction-related design/drafting certificate or equivalent experience, NEC knowledge, and a starting pay of $22.00–$29.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Certificate in construction related design/drafting or higher.
• OR at least 1 year of directly related experience drafting control systems, documentation, such as PLC I/O lists, wiring diagrams, terminal layouts, schematics, and panel layouts.
• Basic knowledge of National Electric Code (NEC)

Responsibilities

• Produce quality drawings for a variety of project types from concept phase through construction documents.
• Set up plans, sections and details to specified drafting standards.
• Identify redlines on drawings created by others and accurately make required changes.
• Utilize software with increasing efficiency and depth of understanding.
• Undertake increasingly complex design tasks and responsibilities with a commitment to continuous learning and technical development.

Your role:

Under the direction of a Designer or Senior Designer you will:

• Work with other Designers and Engineers to produce quality drawings for a variety of project types from concept phase through construction documents.
• Set up plans, sections and details to specified drafting standards.

• Utilize software with increasing efficiency and depth of understanding.

Your resume must include:

• Certificate in construction related design/drafting or higher.

Starting Hourly Range:

$22.00 - 29.00. A variety of factors are considered when determining an offer including, but not limited to, market data, geographic location, experience, and specialized skills.
