Job summary

Jobtailor in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a hands-on technician to support plant process control systems, perform routine checks, maintenance, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.

You will participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours issues, document actions and resolutions for engineering leadership, and inspect equipment to spot wear and improvement opportunities. Strong reading of electrical drawings and familiarity with Rockwell/Siemens is required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent technical certification in Electrical Engineering Technology, Industrial Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with PLC and HMI-based process control systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read, interpret, and modify electrical drawings and schematics.
• Hands-on experience with Rockwell (Allen-Bradley), Siemens, or similar control platforms.
• Familiarity with EtherNet/IP, Profinet, and Modbus TCP.
• Able to work in an industrial environment with chemical, mechanical, and thermal processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical support for plant process control systems, including routine checks and basic maintenance.
• Respond to process control issues in on-call rotation, including after-hours support.
• Document and report issues, maintenance actions, and resolutions to engineering leadership.
• Perform routine inspections to identify wear or potential failure points and improvement opportunities.
• Support troubleshooting efforts led by engineers to minimize downtime and improve system performance.
