Job summary

The PCS Software Engineer at Arconic Corporation will maintain and develop software that controls and monitors our manufacturing processes. You will work with a core group of engineers to support operations, quality, and safety, primarily during daytime hours with on-call after hours as needed.

Responsibilities include enhancing Aveva/PI systems, implementing new process controls, upgrading software, and providing data access for quality management. Strong PLC/automation exposure is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in CS/engineering or MIS related field from an accredited institution.
• 1–3 years of similar software/automation experience.
• Projects or internships in sensors-to-application, PLCs, automation, robotics.
• Familiarity with web apps using HTML/JS/CSS/PHP.
• Authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available.
• Knowledge of export controls (ITAR) may be required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop software for process control systems in manufacturing.
• Support Aveva/PI system implementation and improvements.
• Design new process control solutions for product development and upgrades.
• Upgrade systems to stay current with hardware/software.
• Maintain license agreements and backups to minimize downtime.
• Provide data to technical groups and ensure quality management access.
• Troubleshoot production issues and collaborate with vendors/consultants.
• Provide on-call support for advanced troubleshooting.
