Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation seeks a Gas Plant Operator to safely operate and monitor process, storage, loading, and unloading systems at a cryogenic or fractionation facility. You will manage instrument panels, regulate variables, and ensure regulatory compliance under PSM and environmental permits.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass drug/background checks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Must pass drug test and background check.
• Must be able to work 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Prior Board Operator experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitors instrument control panel and adjusts controls to regulate process variables to maintain purity and efficiency.
• Oversees and maintains equipment controlling temperature and product flow.
• Monitors gauges, inspects product, troubleshoots and performs routine maintenance.
• Records data from equipment readings.
• Upon qualification, issues and monitors safe work permits.
