Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation seeks a Gas Plant/Process Operator to safely and efficiently run control systems for fractionation or amine treatment facilities. You will monitor variables, adjust controls, inspect equipment, and maintain data logs while complying with PSM and permit requirements.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to work 12-hour shifts including nights and weekends. Prior board operator experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid Driver’s License is required.
• Must pass drug test and background check.
• Able to work 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Prior Board Operator experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitors instrument control panel and adjusts to regulate process variables.
• Oversees and maintains equipment controlling temperature and flow of product.
• Inspects gauges, troubleshoots issues, and performs routine maintenance.
• Records data from equipment readings.
• May issue and monitor safe work permits upon qualification.
• Operates within Process Safety Management and environmental permit requirements.
