Your Job

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a qualified professional for the role of Process Control Systems Engineer within the corporate Process Control Center of Excellence based in Atlanta, GA. The Center of Excellence partners with operating facilities by providing collaboration and support across multi-disciplines of expertise (GP and Vendors) to achieve scalable problem solving across manufacturing sites and businesses. This position may be remote or based out of offices in Green Bay or Atlanta.

The successful candidate will provide careful planning and execution of Rockwell AssetCentre installations within the company’s industrial control systems. They will collaborate with mill process control and digital site services teams to understand past and present challenges, reduce complexity, and prioritize critical systems to ensure smooth control system recovery. Periodic travel to sites will be required.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and maintain AssetCentre best practices.
  • Ensure AssetCentre implementations meet best practices.
  • Verify architecture drawings are accurate and up to date.
  • Ensure Backup and Recovery systems are configured and functional for each site.
  • Provide AssetCentre support throughout the lifecycle.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems.
  • Provide knowledge sharing to mill resources.
  • Project Management


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • BS degree EE OR 2+ years of Controls
  • Experience with Rockwell Systems and Rockwell system administration.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%


What Will Put You Ahead

  • Five or more years of experience in facility operations within an industrial, manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience with Rockwell AssetCentre software.
  • Project Management experience
  • Experience in a pulp and paper environment.
