Job summary

Georgia Pacific in Pennington, AL (Naheola Plant), seeks a Process Control Engineer to design and implement control improvements for mill processes and mentor peers. You will help advance automation to new levels of technology supporting advanced manufacturing.

You will work with Rockwell/AB environments, troubleshoot systems, and collaborate with safety programs in a team setting, under minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3+ years in Industrial Maintenance/Automation or manufacturing.
• PLC programming experience (Rockwell) with AB Drives troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Rockwell FactoryTalk View SE/ME and SQL is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support controls for mill process equipment.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and improve control system performance.
• Develop process control systems to advance technologies in manufacturing.
• Collaborate with safety culture and plant personnel on improvements.
• Assist with instrumentation installation and project scope estimates.
• Partner with corporate teams to deploy new technologies.
