Job summary

Prysmian Group’s Claremont fiber manufacturing plant seeks a developing leader to join the engineering department to support optical fiber manufacturing. You will evaluate, troubleshoot, and conduct process control activities on PCVD/APVD glass processes and related equipment.

Ideal candidates hold an ABET-accredited engineering degree with at least 1 year in a complex manufacturing environment and strong communication, data analysis, and presentation skills.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited B.S. in Engineering required.
• Minimum 1 year in a complex manufacturing environment or internship.
• Ability to understand complex process flow and machinery.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting manufacturing equipment.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor manufacturing processes daily to identify trends and outages and provide timely solutions.
• Lead the process area responsible for yields, documentation, procedures, and data tracking.
• Develop performance indicators to ensure quality and productivity targets.
• Perform root cause analysis for trends and equipment issues; implement corrective actions.
• Support PCVD/APVD glass manufacturing processes focusing on equipment performance and uptime.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and work with technicians to source parts and improve machine performance.
• Collaborate with engineers across Prysmian plants to resolve process problems.
• Write process documentation and update procedures; provide training when needed.
