Job summary

OxyChem, a Berkshire Hathaway company, is seeking an experienced Process Control Engineer for its Deer Park, Texas facility. You will design, commission, and maintain DCS/SIS/PLC systems while collaborating with multiple engineering disciplines to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-effective control solutions.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's in engineering and 5–20 years of relevant experience, with strong communication and proficiency in DeltaV, SAP, and PI systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
5–20 years of DCS/SIS/PLC design, programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance experience.
Proficiency with MS Office and strong English communication.

Responsibilities

Maintain protection of environment and health and safety in projects.
Provide expertise in Process Control Engineering as a corporate expert.
Prepare scopes, estimates and schedules for control system projects.
Coordinate control and instrument tasks with engineering disciplines for project success.
Assist with configuration, installation, and maintenance of DCS/SIS/PLC equipment and instrumentation.
Define spare parts and preventative maintenance requirements for DCS components.
