Job summary

OxyChem, a Berkshire Hathaway company, is seeking an experienced Ethylene Process Control Engineer/Specialist for our Ingleside Plant in Gregory, Texas. You will maintain DCS/PLC systems, troubleshoot issues, and support process safety and reliable ethylene operations.

The role requires 3–10 years in DCS programming, a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, and ability to work weekends and callouts in a safety‑conscious, team‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required; 3–10 years of DCS programming and maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to develop, analyze, and troubleshoot scripts and queries; strong communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to work shifts including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain DCS/PLC control systems and ensure safe, compliant operations.
• Troubleshoot DCS/PLC issues and implement improvement solutions.
• Assist in configuration, installation, and maintenance of control systems equipment.
• Train hourly staff and coordinate with maintenance and project teams.
