Job summary

TPC Group is seeking a Process Chemist to partner with production and operation teams, ensuring unit performance and product quality while delivering analytical and technical guidance. The role emphasizes collaboration, initiative, transparency, and delivering results as core cultural traits.

The successful candidate will serve as a technical SME for process chemistry, support plant trials, and drive improvements across analytical tools and testing methods in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in Quality Assurance best practices.
• ISO 9000 experience (desired but not mandatory).
• Six Sigma knowledge (desired but not mandatory).
• Experience with method development and troubleshooting gas chromatography, ion chromatography, total organic carbon analysis, Karl Fischer, and titrations.

Responsibilities

• Ensures safe and reliable operation in the lab, driving high safety standards.
• Actively participate in site safety programs and lead safety initiatives.
• Collaborate on cross-functional process team to monitor production, troubleshoot issues, and identify improvements.
• Partner with production engineers to monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot unit performance.
• Provide technical guidance and support to manufacturing and production teams for chemical processes.
• Lead and manage process chemistry vendor to ensure adequate chemical dosage and monitor residuals.
