Job summary

ATI Specialty Alloys & Components in Millersburg, Oregon, seeks an Advanced Process Capability Engineer to lead high-impact initiatives that reduce CoQ, stabilize processes, and unlock gains in yield, delivery, and customer satisfaction.

You’ll apply DMAIC, PDCA, A3, and 8D methods to deliver sustainable improvements, using SPC, Cp/Cpk, and DOE to uncover hidden variation. This role partners across operations, quality, and engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Metallurgical, Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or similar).
• 4–10+ years of experience in process, product, or quality engineering.
• Proven ability to solve manufacturing problems at root cause level.
• Strong analytical mindset with data-to-decision capability.
• Cross-functional collaboration in fast-paced production environments; clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-visibility CoQ reduction initiatives to improve profitability and performance.
• Drive Right First Time (RFT) and zero-defect strategies in critical areas.
• Own complex process challenges—scrap, rework, OTD misses; eliminate root causes.
• Apply DMAIC, PDCA, A3, 8D to deliver sustainable results, not quick fixes.
• Use data as a weapon—SPC, Cp/Cpk, DOE, trend analysis to uncover variation.
• Influence cross-functional teams across operations, quality, and engineering.
• Facilitate Kaizen events and continuous improvement for cost/quality gains.
• Build and evolve performance dashboards and KPIs for visibility.
• Implement and sustain robust process controls to lock in gains.
• Contribute to automation and digital transformation on the floor.
