Job summary

ADM is seeking a Process Automation Engineer in Decatur, IL to support plant automation systems, troubleshoot, and drive optimization. The role partners with Operations and Technology Centers to apply global standards and advance documentation, safety initiatives, and performance excellence.

You will develop or modify controls, maintain system documentation, and coach colleagues while managing multiple projects in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

• Develop or modify process automation controls and troubleshoot hardware/software.
• Document process automation hardware/software and maintain control-system docs.

Responsibilities

• Provide plant support for process automation systems to ensure operations succeed.
• Collaborate with Operations and Technology Centers on projects using global standards.
• Identify opportunities to mitigate risk, improve efficiency, and drive optimization.
• Advance standardization and documentation of process automation systems.
• Support safety initiatives and Performance Excellence pursuits.
• Participate in on-call rotation and travel as needed.
