Job summary

Cindavi is seeking a Process Automation Engineer to join the Project Engineering Group in Batesville, Arkansas, focusing on modernizing our plant with ABB 800xA/800M and legacy systems. You will design, implement, and test automation solutions for batch and continuous processes, collaborating across engineering, operations, and maintenance teams.

The position offers opportunities to troubleshoot, optimize reliability, and contribute to plant-wide automation decisions in a dynamic manufacturing

Qualifications

Experience in process controls, automation, or systems integration.
Good Windows PC literacy and networking basics.
Experience in chemical or continuous/batch manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, test, and start up automation solutions for batch and continuous processes.
Support upgrades and improvements across PLC, DCS, HMI, and plant networks.
Program and troubleshoot with ladder logic, structured text, function blocks, and batch sequencing.
Advance ABB 800xA/800M modernization while supporting legacy systems.
Collaborate with process engineering, project engineering, operations, electrical maintenance, and instrumentation teams.
Diagnose root causes, improve reliability, and contribute to equipment design decisions.
Occasional after-hours support for critical plant issues.
