Amazon in Bondurant, IA is hiring a Process Assistant to support department functions, manage labor, lead meetings, and cover for Area Managers during vacations. You will help ensure safety, track hours, and assist with SOP updates.

The role requires flexibility, good communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced fulfillment center, including weekends and extended shifts. Training and development opportunities are available.

Formación

• 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Flexible schedule including weekends/nights/holidays.
• Can lift up to 49 pounds and stand for long shifts.
• Full-time, 40 hours per week with overtime as needed.

Responsabilidades

• Support and work in the department as required.
• Assist with daily department duties, including labor allocation and meetings.
• Provide vacation coverage for Area Managers.
• Track ATS/labor hours and safety compliance.
• Coach associates to work safely and participate in safety initiatives.
• Review and update SOPs and maintain a clean work area.
• Perform production duties as needed.

Description

The Process Assistant is assigned to the Area Manager, and will hold responsibilities specific to the different Fulfillment Center areas.

Key Job Elements:

• Support and work in the department as required

• Helping support daily management of department duties, including allocating labor, leading meetings, assigning job duties, and communicating with internal and external suppliers

• Providing vacation coverage for Area Managers

• Providing policy follow-up, attendance tracking (duties do not extend to discipline)

• Tracking and reporting of ATS/labor hours

• Assisting the floor as an associate resource, training associates and verifying SOP compliance

• Ensuring successful area performance, through tracking, reporting and feedback of associate performance

• Participating in Operational Excellence initiatives in some capacity

• Filling in as needed with production duties

• Fully understanding workflow and daily production goals

• Reviewing and updating SOP as required

• Assisting in keeping work area clean and organized

• Identifying and addressing safety hazards within the work area

• Coaching associates to work safely at all times

• Participating in safety initiatives

• Referring all job injuries immediately to area manager

Basic Qualifications

• 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience

• High school or equivalent

• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays

• Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach

• Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Education beyond High School, and/or prior experience managing employees

• Excellent interpersonal skills

• Demonstrated problem solving skills and analytical skills

• Demonstrated communication skills (written and verbal) with all levels of Amazon associates and management

• Experience with an FC kaizen or Shingi event

• An awareness and willingness to use OE tools and techniques

• Experience working in Problem Solve a plus

• Leadership ability

The starting pay for this position is listed below, including the base pay rate plus the highest available shift differential which applies depending on the shift you select. As a total compensation company, additional earnings may include shift differentials and overtime pay. Final pay will be based on factors including shift selection and location.
