Job summary

KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) is seeking a Process Architect to lead pharmaceutical facility layout, GMP compliance, cleanroom zoning, and flow optimization. You will ensure designs meet GMP requirements while enabling scalable operations and future expansion.

Role requires a decade of GMP facility design experience, cross‑functional collaboration, and the ability to guide capital programs over $500M TIC. Join a team focused on energy transition and sustainable facility performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience supporting GMP facility planning or design for pharma/biotech/vaccine facilities.
• Experience with cleanroom zoning, manufacturing adjacencies, and contamination control.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical facility design principles and GMP requirements.
• Experience with capital projects in excess of $500M TIC.

KBR is seeking a Process Architect to provide specialized expertise in pharmaceutical facility layout, manufacturing adjacencies, cleanroom zoning, material and personnel flow, contamination control strategies, and operational functionality. This role ensures that facility designs meet current Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements while supporting efficient manufacturing operations, future expansion, and long-term maintainability. **Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:** * Optimize material, personnel, and operational flows.* Support facility expansion, maintainability, and operational performance goals.* Coordinate facility planning activities across engineering and operational teams. **Required Education, Experience, & Skills:** * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical discipline.* Minimum 10 years of experience supporting GMP facility planning or design supporting pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or vaccine manufacturing facilities.* Experience with cleanroom zoning, manufacturing adjacencies, and contamination control.* Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical facility design principles and GMP requirements.* Experience successfully working with multidisciplinary project teams on capital projects in excess of $500M TIC. **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills:** * Prior experience within PMC or Owner’s Representative organizations for capital projects in excess of $1B TIC.* Knowledge of FDA, EMA, ISPE, and industry design standards.* Experience supporting facility programming and operational readiness planning.* Familiarity with CQV and validation requirements.* Professional registration or relevant industry certification. **Decarbonization – Energy Transition – Sustainability** **KBR Benefits** KBR offers a selection of competitive lifestyle benefits which could include 401K plan with company match, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D, flexible spending account, disability, paid time off, or flexible work schedule.
