Job summary

KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) is seeking a Clean Utilities Lead in Philadelphia to oversee the design and engineering of clean utility systems, including purified water, WFI, clean steam, and process gases. You will guide project teams, participate in reviews, and ensure regulatory compliance and startup readiness.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, 10+ years in clean utilities, and experience with major capital projects.

• Minimum 10 years of experience with clean utilities systems design and engineering.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering and design activities for capital projects over $500M TIC.

KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) provides holistic and value-added solutions across the entire asset life cycle. These include world-class licensed process technologies, differentiated advisory services, deep technical domain expertise, energy transition solutions, high-end design capabilities, and smart solutions to optimize planned and operating assets. KRB is seeking a Clean Utilities Lead to provide oversight of clean utility system design and high-purity utility systems, including systems such as purified water, water-for-injection (WFI), clean steam, process gases, and associated distribution systems. The role helps ensure facility infrastructure supports manufacturing requirements and future qualification activities. **Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:** * Ensure utility designs, equipment selections, and operational strategies support manufacturing requirements, contamination control objectives, regulatory expectations, qualification activities and startup readiness.* Serve as the primary engineering advisor for clean utility systems.* Oversee design and engineering team responsible for meeting the project requirements in this area, including but not limited to day to day oversight and participation in design reviews. **Required Education, Experience, & Skills:** * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline.* Minimum 10 years of experience with clean utilities systems design and engineering.* Strong knowledge of engineering, design, constructability, operability, and maintainability best practices and code requirements for these systems.* Experience successfully coordinating multidisciplinary engineering and design activities for capital projects in excess of $500M TIC. **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills:** * Experience supporting pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or GMP-regulated facilities.* Prior experience in an Owner’s Representative or PMC role for major capital projects in excess of $1B TIC.* Experience supporting commissioning, qualification, and startup activities.* Professional Engineer (PE) license. **Decarbonization – Energy Transition – Sustainability** **KBR Benefits** KBR offers a selection of competitive lifestyle benefits which could include 401K plan with company match, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D, flexible spending account, disability, paid time off, or flexible work schedule.
