Job summary

A leading manufacturing company in South Bend, IN is seeking a Process/Application Engineer to leverage engineering skills in friction welding. The role focuses on investigating process problems and improving manufacturing methods. Candidates with backgrounds in mechanical, manufacturing, welding or metallurgical engineering are preferred. This position is not remote and requires onsite presence in Indiana.

Qualifications

• Background in mechanical, manufacturing, welding, or metallurgical engineering is preferred.
• Friction welding experience will set you apart.
• Willingness to take a hands-on approach and ability to interpret data/trends.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and correct process problems identified by customers.
• Support sales, service, contract welding, and equipment manufacturing departments.
• Develop and implement improvements to existing manufacturing processes.
