Job summary

ProHealth Care is seeking a Central Services Technician to join our sterile processing team in Wisconsin. You will decontaminate, clean, assemble and sterilize medical/surgical devices used in patient care, and transport equipment as needed.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent (5+ years in central services preferred); certification as a Registered Central Services Technician preferred; experience in sterile processing is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; related experience preferred.
• Certification as a Registered Central Services Technician preferred.
• Experience in sterile processing/central service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process and decontaminate medical and surgical supplies for patient care.
• Clean, disinfect, assemble and wrap items for sterilization per policy.
• Decontaminate, clean, process and sterilize devices used in patient care.
• Transport equipment to and from the point of use.

What You Will Do:

Processesmedical and non-medical supplies used in patient care. Duties including decontamination, cleaning, disinfecting, assembly of procedure sets and equipment.Wrappingitems to be sterilized, and sterilization as policies and procedures indicate. Decontaminates, cleans, processes, assembles and sterilizes medical/surgical devices used in patient care.Transportation of needed equipment to/from its place of use.

What you will need:

• High school diploma or equivalent or 5+ years similar experience. Additional education in central services preferred.


• Certification as a Registered Central Services Technician preferred.


• Experience in sterile processing/central service preferred.
