Job summary

ProHealth Care in Wisconsin is seeking a Central Services Technician to process medical and non-medical supplies used in patient care, including decontamination, cleaning, assembly of procedure sets, and sterilization of medical devices. You will transport needed equipment to and from its place of use and follow sterilization policies.

A high school diploma (or 5+ years experience) is required, with central services education or certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; 5+ years similar experience acceptable.
• Central services education preferred.
• Certification as a Registered Central Services Technician preferred.

Responsibilities

• Processes medical and non-medical supplies used in patient care.
• Decontaminates, cleans, processes, assembles and sterilizes medical/surgical devices used in patient care.
• Wraps items to be sterilized and sterilizes as policies and procedures indicate.
• Transportation of needed equipment to/from its place of use.

Education
