Job summary

Keystone Powdered Metal Company, a Sumitomo Electric Group company, in Cherryville, NC, is seeking a full‑time Process Analyst to join our team. You will operate molding equipment, adjust furnace temperature and belt speed, and help ensure consistent product quality at all times.

You will record process data, use precision measuring tools, and contribute to continuous improvement, while collaborating with maintenance and other departments.

Qualifications

Process Analyst

Keystone Powdered Metal Company, a Sumitomo Electric Group company, is looking for an experienced full-time Process Analyst to work in our Cherryville, NC, location. This person will report to the Quality Supervisor.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• To efficiently and safely make less to moderately complex setups on mechanical equipment in the molding operations with minimal assistance.
• To efficiently and safely operate equipment, including the making of satisfactory adjustments to ensure product quality. This includes the ability to adjust furnace temperature and/or belt speed.
• To know and follow procedures applicable to this job classification.
• Legibly record and maintain applicable product/process information.
• Effectively utilize measuring equipment and information obtained from its use to ensure continuation of control conditions.
• Provide active input to continuous process improvement.
• Effectively communicate job related information to co-workers, supervisors and others with a need to know.
• Maintain cooperative relationships with other functional areas.
• Reliable, consistent attendance is a requirement and essential function of this position.

Other Responsibilities

Assist maintenance with the repair of equipment and make minor repairs.

Provide assistance in writing new or revising old procedures.

Qualifications

Able to read and understand procedures, process sheets, etc.

Able to do basic math calculations such as adding, subtracting,

multiplying and dividing.

Understand decimals, fractions, percentages, averages, etc.

Able to write legible sentences.

Competency Requirements

• Setup/troubleshoot designated equipment/assemblies to required complexity.
• Operate and adjust required equipment properly.
• Properly use measuring equipment and accurately interpret results.
• Understand and apply SPC fundamentals.
• Demonstrate effective writing skills with regards to appropriate records, reports and procedures.
• Demonstrate satisfactory relational skills with regards to communications, cooperative associations and participation in continuous improvement.
• Exhibit knowledge of applicable procedures.

The base salary range for this position is $15/hour to $20.00/hour.

Compensation may vary depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, competencies, and location. Base pay is one part of the total compensation and benefits package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
