At Stony Brook Medicine the Procedure Scheduler in the Peri-operative Service Area is responsible for coordinating the daily scheduling of our operating room and procedure rooms with other staff utilizing the our scheduling system.
Required Qualifications: Associate’s degree and at least 2 years of experience in a hospital/healthcare setting working with a computerized patient/procedure scheduling system or, in lieu of a degree, at least 5 years of experience in a hospital/healthcare setting working with a computerized patient/procedure scheduling system. Detail orientated. Well organized. Works well within a group. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Admitting/registration experience. Surgery scheduling experience in Hospital, Physician Office or Outpatient Surgery Center. Familiarity using the following hospital programs: Cerner scheduling (Surginet) / Power Chart/ Microsoft Office.

The salary range (or hiring range) for this position is $47,453 - $58,213 / year.
The above salary range represents SBUH’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. The specific salary offer will be based on the candidate’s validated years of comparable experience.
