Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Temple, TX, is seeking an RN for inpatient dialysis to provide specialized care to hospitalized patients. You will work with nephrologists and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered dialysis care on a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Texas RN license or compact RN license.
• BLS certification required.
• Dialysis experience preferred but not required; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Oversee patient care as a Procedural Registered Nurse using the nursing practice model.
• Assess patients, identify nursing diagnoses, and develop personalized care plans.
• Delegate tasks based on nursing laws, patient conditions, and staff skills.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and monitor patient responses.
• Educate patients and staff and contribute to multidisciplinary care.

About The Department

Our 11-bed Inpatient Dialysis unit provides comprehensive dialysis services to acute care and critically ill patients throughout the hospital. Nurses work closely with nephrologists, intensivists, and multidisciplinary care teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Patient Ratios

Inpatient: 4:1
ICU: 2:1 or 1:1

As a Procedural Registered Nurse, work as a licensed professional using the nursing practice model to oversee patient care. Responsibilities include assessing patients, identifying nursing diagnoses, and developing personalized care plans. Regularly assess patient responses. Contributions help patients navigate healthcare safely by understanding their needs and the system. This prevents complications and delays. Delegate tasks based on Texas nursing laws, patient conditions, and staff skills.
