Job summary

Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston is seeking a Staff Nurse for the Procedural Recovery Unit. You will provide nursing care to patients in PACU and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to maintain the safest environment.

The role requires graduation from an approved nursing program, Massachusetts registration, and ACLS certification; experience in PACU/ED/ICU and cardiology is preferred. Weekend and holiday rotations are part of the schedule.

The Staff Nurse Will Be Responsible For:

• Providing care for patients in the procedural recovery unit.
• Working collaboratively to provide excellent care to patients and families in the safest environment.
• Include rotation to ECHO/contrast beeper

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an approved school of nursing with current registration in Massachusetts. For newly licensed nurses a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is required.
• Experience: Procedural Recovery Care Unit/PACU preferred
• greater than 3yrs of (singular or combined) ED, ICU or stepdown cardiology experience required
• Cardiology experience required
• Intravenous access skills preferred
• ACLS required
• Other: Membership in professional organizations is recommended and certification in a specialty area is encouraged.
• Able to work weekend and holiday rotation per the MNA contract
