Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center in Florida seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to support the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery service. You will provide patient care under MMG supervision, assist in the operating room, and contribute to diagnostic and treatment planning for surgical oncology patients.

The ideal candidate holds an advanced practice degree, an active Florida license, BLS/ACLS, and experience in surgical oncology or operating room procedures.

Qualifications

• Active Florida medical license and certification by the appropriate board.
• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA approved).
• Experience in surgical oncology and operating room procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Assists physicians in the Operating Room and in procedural suites.
• Correlates subjective and objective data to form a differential diagnosis.
• Formulates and implements treatment plans within scope of practice.
• Performs minor procedures and biopsy-type procedures.
• Prescribes oral and IV medications when appropriate and within scope.
