Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (Procedural) to support the Reconstructive Oncology Department. You will provide patient care under MMG, assist in evaluation, management, and in the operating room, and perform minor procedures in surgical clinics.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree minimum, a graduate ARNP/PA program, active Florida license, BLS and ACLS, and surgical oncology experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree minimum.
• Graduate of an accredited Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program.
• Active FL medical license (or ability to obtain one) and certification by the appropriate accreditation body.
• Active BLS and ACLS (must be AHA approved).
• Experience in surgical oncology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care as a member of an interdisciplinary team, coordinating and optimizing patient care.
• Assists physicians in the Operating Room and procedural suites for Reconstructive Oncology/Micro surgeries.
• Forms differential diagnoses and treatment plans within scope of practice.
• Performs minor procedures and biopsy-type procedures.
• Prescribes oral and IV medications when appropriate; documents care per medical staff rules.
