Summary of Job Classification:
Provides supervision, oversight, support, mentorship, and training for probation staff. Assists in forming, communicating, and implementing procedures and policies. Monitors caseload progress and performs case reviews and other methods of quality assurance.

The applicant selected for this position may choose a primary duty station in any of our three probation offices (Steamboat Springs, Hot Sulphur Springs, or Craig). Extensive travel between all three locations may be required, and when possible a fleet vehicle will be provided for this travel.
Salary offers are made based on several factors, including prior relevant work experience, available budget, and compliance with the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, aligned with our compensation step plan. Fiscal Responsibility:
May assist in the collection of data in support of recommendations for functional area budget allocations. May monitor division or program/promotional level budget and expenditures.
Education and Experience Equivalency:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, sociology, psychology, human services or related field.
OR
Work experience in these or related fields may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required formal education.
Work Related Experience:
At least three (3) years of supervisory work-related experience in criminal justice, law enforcement, social work, psychology, or similar field.
OR
Successful completion of the Colorado Judicial Department Orientation to Supervision/Management course or Judicial Executive Development Institute (JEDI) may be substituted for supervisory experience. Copies of transcript are required to be submitted with the application.
