Performs entry/developing-level Probation Officer responsibilities, including investigation, assessment, supervision, resource coordination, and monitoring of clients’ court-ordered for services. Completes required training courses and programs.

Probation Officer and Senior Probation Officer. We will fill one position within this series based on the district's hiring needs and the qualifications and relevant experience of the selected applicant.
Work requires the occasional direction of helpers, assistants, seasonal employees, interns, or temporary employees. The work performed by majority of employees is semi complex.
Exerting up to 35 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly having to move objects.
Occasional exposure to unpleasant environmental conditions, hazards and/or exposure to risk. Occasional outside work. Office Environment
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice, sociology, psychology, human services or related field.
OR Graduation from an accredited college or university with an associate's degree in criminal justice, sociology, psychology, human services or related field and two (2) years of work-related experience in criminal justice, law enforcement, social work, psychology or related field.
OR High School Diploma or G.E.D and four (4) years of work-related experience in criminal justice, law enforcement, social work, psychology or related field may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required formal education.
Work Related Experience: Work-related experience in criminal justice, law enforcement, social work, psychology, or similar field. The work performed by a majority of employees is semi-complex.
