Job summary

Missouri Department of Corrections is seeking qualified personnel to supervise offenders in housing units and support overall facility operations. The role involves safety inspections, managing offender activities, and maintaining accurate records. You will perform interviews, verify backgrounds, and assist with court-related duties.

Qualifications

• Must be a minimum of 18 years old
• Must have a valid vehicle operator's license
• All requested documents MUST be received by the closing date

Responsibilities

• Supervises offenders in housing units and manages activities in Community Supervision Centers
• Checks and inspects housing units for safety and security violations; prepares reports on violations and behaviors
• Interviews offenders to verify background and records; contacts employers/family to verify information; maintains investigation records
• Retrieves information from NCIC, MULES, and state databases; responds to warrants and updates records
• Issues IDs, assists with job searches for offenders, monitors electronic monitoring and escorts/transports offenders as needed
• Maintains shift records and logs, troubleshoots equipment, handles emergency calls, and assists officers with court visits/home visits
• Supervises movement of offenders, intervenes in emergencies, monitors medication use, and discourages undesirable behavior while promoting rehabilitation
• Provides after-hours support, orders supplies, and performs other duties as assigned
