State of Oklahoma is seeking Probation and Parole Officers to perform professional social service and law enforcement duties in supervising offenders in the community. You will assess criminogenic needs, design transition plans, and refer to treatment programs to reduce recidivism.

Responsibilities include investigations, report writing, maintaining records, monitoring financial obligations, and assisting in security operations as required.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree with 24 credit hours in psychology, sociology, social work, criminology, education, criminal justice administration, penology or police science.
• Level II requires bachelor’s degree plus two years of correctional experience or a master’s degree substitution; Level III requires bachelor’s degree plus four years of correctional experience or master’s substitution for one year.

Responsabilidades

• Manage a caseload of adult offenders and assess criminogenic risk/need to design transition plans.
• Conduct investigations (pre-sentence, interstate, pre-pardon, pre-parole) as required.
• Prepare reports and provide recommendations for releasing authority.
• Maintain documentation (physical and electronic) of offender caseloads.
• Monitor financial obligations and document payments.
• Assist in security operations and transport offenders when needed.
• Screen offenders for drug and alcohol use on a periodic basis.
