State of Oklahoma’s Department of Corrections is seeking Probation and Parole Officers for Woodward County. This on-site role involves evaluating offenders, coordinating transition plans, and coordinating with treatment providers to reduce recidivism.

The position includes investigations, report writing, and supervision in community settings. Compensation ranges from Level I through Level III, with responsibilities increasing by level and a requirement for travel and driving as needed.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree with 24 semester hours in psychology, sociology, social work, criminology, education, criminal justice administration, penology or police science.
• Level II requires 2 years correctional experience in social casework or related substitution with a master’s degree.
• Level III requires 4 years correctional experience in social casework or substitute with a master’s degree.

Responsabilidades

• Manage a caseload of adult offenders, assess criminogenic risk/needs, and design transition plans with target outcomes.
• Refer offenders to appropriate treatment or programs and monitor adherence to action steps.
• Conduct pre-sentence, interstate, pre-pardon and pre-parole investigations as required.
• Prepare reports and maintain documentation (physical and electronic) of offender activity.
• Monitor financial obligations and collect payments as ordered by the releasing authority.
• Assist in security operations and transport offenders when required.
• Conduct periodic drug and alcohol screenings for offenders.
