Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications: Four or more years of experience as a Probation & Parole Assistant, Correctional Officer, or Office Support Assistant or above within the Missouri Department of Corrections.
• OR four or more years of vocational or paraprofessional experience in social services, probation and parole, corrections casework/custody, law enforcement, guidance/counseling, mental health, health, substance use, public/business administration, or related fields; and possession of a valid vehicle operator’s license.

Responsibilities

• Investigates offender's home/work/social environments and prepares reports for court authorities.
• Contacts offenders in homes or workplaces and counsels them on personal/adjustment issues; attends court for assignments and reports.
• Assists in vocational/educational planning and coordinates with public/private agencies and law enforcement.
• Prepares statistical reports; administers testing; participates in special investigations and committees.
