Job summary

New Jersey Judiciary, Morris/Sussex Vicinage Probation Division, seeks a candidate with strong written communication, interpersonal, customer service, problem-solving, and analytical skills to serve as a liaison among courts, prosecutors, and probation teams.

Based in the Sussex County Judicial Center (Newton, NJ) with required travel to Morristown and other Judiciary locations. Hybrid work up to 2 days remote, driven by department needs and program guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in any area, which includes or is supplemented by 24 credit hours in the behavioral or social sciences.
• Open to Judiciary employees who are currently holding the permanent title of Probation Officer or Probation Officer Bilingual employees with required experience and degree.

Responsibilities

• Work within a case processing team to monitor and enforce conditions of court orders.
• Coordinate services for client and case management needs.
• Inform litigants about procedures and available services.
• Prepare cases for hearing and record case notes.
• Confer with team members and judges regarding case status and management.
